Projects for January
I hope everybody had a Very Merry Christmas and will have a Happy New Year. My plans for January is to complete my second Juggernaut (see previous posts) and then to paint my unit of Widowmakers and then Mechanics. If I get those done before the end of January I will post what my next project will be.

SS Painting Diary project completed
With the completion of my Winter Guard Rifle Corps I have completed the "SS Painting Diary" project with a few days to spare. I will continue to work on my Khador units until eventually they will all be painted. Maybe in the future there will be another project such as this one to come up to keep me motivated to paint on a regular basis.
Below is a picture of my unit before I started to paint for this project and then the completed unit.

The next picture is of all the Khador models I have painted to date. I also have one other Juggernaut Jack that is half done, which I hope to complete prior to Christmas.

WIP shots for my Khador Rifle Corps
Here are some updated photos of my WIP for the Khador Rifle Corps. I am on schedule to where I should be able to complete them by the end of the month as long as nothing gets in the way of my painting time. Down to only needing to touch up the black areas, finish the weapons (Rifle and Axe), the little individual touches each model might need and then to finish off the bases with the snow and grass/flock.

Khador Jacks Completed
Well it has been a while since I posted last. I meant to get this up a couple weeks back but other things kept getting in the way. I was trying to get three Jacks (Two Juggernauts and one Marauder) completed prior to me attending the "Clash for the Cure" Warmachine/Hordes tournament last month but failed to do so. I had gotten all of the bottom sections done and some of the upper torso on the Marauder. I have since completed one Juggernaut and the Marauder and have the pictures for you here.
Here is the Juggernaut:

Hope you enjoyed.
Next up will by my WIP photos of the second Juggernaut and my Rifle Corps unit.

Clash for the Cure
Participated in a Warmachine/Hordes 50 pt Deathclock Steamroller tournament on August the 15th in Waco, TX. This tournament was to raise money to benefit Breast Cancer Research. It consisted of five rounds where each player had 45 minutes for that game. I neglected to take my camera so I do not have any pictures to post. Below is a quick synopsis of my five rounds.
My force was the Khador Warmachine faction consisting of:
Warcaster: Strakhov
Warjacks: Juggernaut
Marauder
Destroyer (Marshalled by Mechanics)
Units: Assault Kommandos (Leader and 5 Grunts)
Assault Kommando Flamethrower (2 ea)
Battle Mechanics (Leader and 3 Grunts)
Man-O-War Shocktroopers (Leader and 2 Grunts)
Winterguard Infantry (Leader and 9 Grunts)
Winterguard Officer and Standard Bearer
Winterguard Field Gun (Leader and 2 Grunts)
Winterguard Mortar Crew (Leader and 1 Grunt)
Solos: Kovnik Jozef Grigorovich
Eiryss, Mage Hunter of Ios
Round 1: Opponent-Trollbloods (Hordes)
Outcome- Win by Caster Kill
Round 2: Opponent-Circle Orberos (Hordes)
Outcome- Win by Caster Kill
Round 3: Opponent-Skorne (Hordes)
Outcome- Loss due to running out of time
Round 4: Opponent-Mercenaries (Pirates) (Warmachine)
Outcome- Loss by Caster Kill
Round 5: Opponent-Skorne (Hordes)
Outcome- Loss due to running out of time
Both rounds where I ran out of time it was possible that I could have won (or not) given no time limits.
This was an excellent tournament and my first one. Hopefully not my last

Strakov is done!!!
Sorry for the delay. Was having a new wood floor put down in my office space and all the items from there ended up in my painting room.
Check out the completed Strakov and let me know what you think.

SS Painting Diary Update
As promised, here is my WIP for Strakov. I do not have a WIP shot for the first part which was only priming and then completing the skin tone.
In this update I have completed painting the scenery on the base (Cork rock) and the lower extremity of Strakov himself. I have put a basecoat on most oft areas that will be red and black in the upper torso. I am not one who does all the basecoating first and then the layering. I probably would be able to paint faster if I did but I can't seem to get myself to do it.

SS Painting Diary
Rankings HQ Warmachine Super Series Painting Diary
I entered myself in the Warmachine Super Series Painting Diary challenge started by Rankings HQ. As I have a Khador force (mostly non-painted) I felt this was a good way to challenge myself to get cracking on painting my forces. We have to paint one warcaster, one solo, one warjack and one unit by the end of November.
Here is what I selected:
Warcaster: Strakov
Solo: Josef Grigoravich
Warjack: Juggernaut
Unit: Winter Guard Rifle Corps (Full unit of 10)

My plans are to paint them with the scheme based on the "Unbreakable 111th" shown in the Mark I rule book supplement Superiority.

This Blog
I created this blog for me to post my thoughts and show the miniatures games that I play and paint figures for. Currently I am playing Flames of War and Warmachine. I have also recently started collecting miniatures so that I can start playing Malifaux.
