Warmachine/Hordes tournament at our local FLGS

I went to a 35 point Steam Roller 2012 tournament at our local FLGS last weekend and had a great time.  You were able to take two lists with character restrictions; my lists were as follows:

We played 4 games because of the number of participants we had.

Game 1:
My PVlad list against Retribution with a loss to me by caster kill.  In this game I played against Steve who is a Press Ganger and a very good player.  I actually did better than I had expected to.  This was a very good game but I was on the defensive pretty much from the beginning.

Game 2:
My PVlad list against Menoth with a win to me by caster kill.  In this game I played against Kurt who I play on a regular basis with wins going back and forth between us.  I think I won this one because Kurt was not ready for Uhlans and it through off his game.  As with all my games with Kurt this was a very good game.

Game 3:
My Strakhov list against Legion of Everblight with a win to me by scenario.  In this game I played against Rich who I use to play Warhammer Fantasy with when I was in the Heart of Texas Warhammer Society group.  I knew it was going to be a had game to try and kill his caster so I had to concentrate on winning by scenario and things just happened to fall into place.  Good close game.

Game 4:
My PVlad list against Khador (EIrusk) with a loss to me by caster kill.  In this game I played against Jesse who is a regular at the FLGS.   I was hard pressed to win this game but I put up a fight until the very end.  It is possible that I might have done better if I had used my other list but that is up in the air.  It was a good game.

I will post more on my painting as I get them.  I am currently working on my Winterguard Infantry unit but have not gotten back to for about three weeks.

Here is a picture of my painted figures for my Khador Warmachine army.  A few of them were painted for my by Blue Table Painting (Behemoth, Doom Reavers, Field Gun and Yuri the Axe) but most of them were painted by me.  Hope you like.

New updates

Well, it has been awhile since I last posted so I thought I had better put up some pictures.  The next following posts will have pictures of the second Juggernaught, Widowmakers and Mechanics I said I was going to work on in January.  I actually finished the Juggernaught and the Widowmakers in January but did not get to do any photos until late February.  I finished the Mechanics late February and am now working on my Winterguard Infantry unit (full unit with Officer and Standard Bearer) and the Winterguard Mortar Crew.

Projects for January

I hope everybody had a Very Merry Christmas and will have a Happy New Year.  My plans for January is to complete my second Juggernaut (see previous posts) and then to paint my unit of Widowmakers and then Mechanics.  If I get those done before the end of January I will post what my next project will be.
